Equine serum is acost-effective alternative to fetal bovine serum (FBS) and can be used as cellculture medium in a variety of settings. Before collection, the donor horses are given acontrolled diet designed to deliver the ideal nutrients. The horses are alsofasted before collection to ensure lower lipid levels. Bleeding occurs in anenvironment specifically designed for clean collection. Part of our processincludes measuring physiochemical constituents to ensure lot to lotconsistency. All lots of our equine serum are 0.2µ sterile filtered and featurelow hemoglobin levels.
