GenDEPOT’s Insulin-Transferrin-Selenium I Solutionis a mixture of Insulin, transferrin, and sodium selenite.It is a general supplement designed for use in classicmedia such as DMEM, RPMI-1640, and nutrient mediasuch as Ham’s F-12, DMEM/F-12.
Invitro studies indicate that component of ITS is utilizedby most mammalian cells. They enhance cellproliferation and decrease the serum requirement ofmany cell types.
When ITS is used with a low percent serum,proliferationis reported to be similar to mediumsupplementedwith 10% serum.
