Fetal Bovine Serum(FBS) contains several transfection inhibitors such as sulfated proteoglycans, citrate, EDTA and some other unknown factors. Serum free media and specialized reduced amount of FBS have been used to increase transfection efficiency, however cell viability using serum free media and reduced amount of FBS is lower. FBS, Transfection Optimized is designed for researcher who wants to increase transfection efficiency and maintain superior cell growth. FBS, Transfection Optimized contains reduced transfection inhibitors and additional componnents to provide easier adaption and superior cell growth.
